Wrong motor oil... harm? Help.? - can you use non-detergent motor oil in car
I have some not ACCEL SAE30 detergent motor oil in my car and of course, was an oil change before. I added, without reading the press (intelligent auto). When I finished, I read in the back that the oil was "a base of pure olive oil ... not for most petrol engines built after 1930." I drive a Hyundai Elantra 2001 Standard. Is it dangerous for my car? Or is it okay?

always a custom hurt fourth ... But why should this risk .... Change oil and filter .... What kind of oil is not the proper additives for engines of today ... Value for money for the work of the Spirit ....
I want the oil change. Oi l 30 weight oil is very thick and have a definite effect on your fuel economy and engine damage can result in the same period. I am surprised that you can find the threshold of oil for a car of this generation, there are many vehicles in the 1930s and the current oil and meat exceed the requirements of this engine.
If it only used to start, do not think you should rather be solved a problem. I suggest to stay away from him for several reasons, if you can help others. I am prepared to admit that the car will use 5W30, and I want to pursue, any brand of oil to protect you normally use.
Personally, I have an oil change ... easy to do .... and not as expensive as replacing an engine .... but again that's just me! * S *
Also .... 1930 is uncertain, "" .... If this date is correct he has no choice, but I think it is a mistake in turn!
If oil is really 1930, ... It is worth a fortune to a collector! lol
If you have a room or at least I think he would feel uncomfortable okay.If it would have to leave an oil change.
